About R-Haan

R-HAAN offers the authentic Thai “Samrub” dining experience – the full courses of Thai fine dining with extensive menus and spectacular dishes that masterfully incorporate traditional Thai cuisine into international-style fine dining.

The name R-HAAN means “sustenance” in Thai. The restaurant offers authentic Thai cuisine served in traditional Thai ceramics, reminiscent of how Thai royalty dined in the olden days.

The Chef

Chef Chumpol Jangprai is ostensibly self-taught and has learned a lot over his stellar 32-year career, including 11 years in Europe. His passion for reinvigorating traditional Thai flavors while infusing them with modern techniques has garnered both local admiration and international acclaim.

Chef Chumpol is also co-founder of the MSC Thai Culinary School and operates another restaurant, Waan Thai.
